Creating a Memory Mixer page from scratch allows you to specify every element from the ground up: the background, the photo layout, page design elements, embellishments. Although I almost always use QuickMix to create an album I occasionally create a page from scratch when I have only one or two pages to create and I have a specific idea how I want to design it.
